Al Asad, Iraq - Me watching over some locals as their vehicle was being searched. Al Asad, Iraq - Just a random blown up jet, they litter the base. Al Asad, Iraq - NVGs through NVGs
Al Asad, Iraq - I spent way too much time in this tower watching the (thankfully) boring desert. Al Asad, Iraq - Close up of my buddy Nicholas Smith through the thermals. Al Asad, Iraq - Thermal view of my M16 resting against some sandbags. This and a few of the others I did just to use as desktop backgrounds.
Al Asad, Iraq - Kabar in the morning. Al Asad, Iraq - Another nice background photo, took a few tries to get the settings in the camera right for this. Al Asad, Iraq - I like putting the camera up to other lenses if you can't tell. This is through the set of binoculars in the guard tower during the morning routine.
Al Asad, Iraq - A hollow point we found in with our issued rounds. Naughty Naughty Uncle Sam, haven't you read the Geneva Convention? Al Asad, Iraq - Matt Marsolek under the camo netting. I like the texture of the shadows. Al Asad, Iraq - Extreme close up of M-16. Another one shot with desktop backgrounds in mind.
Al Asad, Iraq - My cobra crew on patrol near dusk. Al Asad, Iraq - The whole place is a mudhole when it rains. The crew before me got a tank stuck in the mud! My crew limited ourselves to the hummers, that is up to the axle by the way. Used a DRGN to get it out. Al Asad, Iraq - It's important to keep in mental shape out there too. You can see my camera case attached to my flak jacket there. I never went anywhere without it!
